System Support 101

Our bodies seek a stable, homeostatic state of balance.  For example, when we are healthy our bodies regulate a constant body temperature within one or two degrees of 98.6.  Our body maintains glucose concentrations between 100-140 depending upon the time of day, and controls a pH balance around 7.4.  When our bodies are out of balance, we experience illness or disease.

Pure, unadulterated, essential oils are powerful, natural healing substances that work extremely well with the body to support wellness.  Essential oils contain constituents that offer antiviral, antibacterial, antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-fungal, insecticidal, digestive aid and anti-inflammatory properties.

There are many varieties and species of essential oils with healthful properties and unique aromas.  It’s best to sample and experience them with an aromatherapist to meet your individual need, but to start here are a few common ones:
